The World 2 Bowl Masters takes place on Friday 21st April 2017, the day before the World Masters.

Format

  • Players will be in groups of 3.
  • The top 2 players from each group will qualify for the main Cup draw.
  • Third placed players will qualify for the Plate.
  • Games will be played over 15 ends.
  • Registration opens at midday. All players must be registered by 12.45pm. Players can practice once they have registered up until 12.45pm. Play will commence at 1pm.

Note: Timings are a guide only and may vary.

Prize Money

Champion 40% of entry fee income
Runner-up 20%
Third 10%
Fourth 5%

Prizes and format are subject to entries and prizes will be awarded in the form of vouchers.

Rules: 2 Bowl

  • 2 Bowls per player
  • 15 Ends per match
  • Toss to start
  • Touchers are not marked. Any bowl entering the ditch area will be removed.
  • Each player may cause 2 dead ends, 2 shots will be awarded for the 3rd and any subsequent dead ends with the end being counted as being played unless it occurs on the last end of the match where 2 shots will be awarded and the end replayed
  • Top 2 players from each group will progress to the Cup Knockout, players finishing 3rd in their groups will progress to the Plate Knockout

All rules will be ESMBA, apart from those listed above.

The recommended method to secure your entry into SMPT events is to enter online and pay through Paypal, however entry forms can be downloaded and sent by post with a cheque included. Any entry forms submitted without a cheque for the full price of entry will be void.
