Full calendar announced as singles action returns to SMPT events

Whilst only a couple of events have been possible this season, we are delighted to announce dates for a full 2022/23 season. A welcome return to our World ranking singles events will of course be the main focus but we’ll have our usual team events mixed in too.

It all kicks off with our popular World Cup event on Friday August 26th which will see the top 4 players from each nation represent their country in the ultimate team battle. This of course will be followed by our first ranking event, The UK Open, over the weekend of the 27th & 28th at Falcon IBC in Chelmsford, England.

Below, you will find the full list of events, dates and venues in a familiar looking calendar to previous years. We will be returning to our usual timescales for opening of entries which is six months prior to any event. This means that entries for the UK Open will open on Friday 1st March at 7pm GMT via our dedicated online entry system. We are also pleased to confirm that there will be no rise in entry fees for the forthcoming season.

We are also currently planning a special Champion of Champions event that will take place in the not too distant future. A one off competition that will see SMPT winners from over the last ten years play for the ultimate crown. Any new winners from the forthcoming season will also be invited to this special event so plenty of incentive to enter this seasons comps.

Look out for details of a special competition on our Facebook page in the next couple of weeks as we gear up for entries opening for the UK Open.

We look forward to seeing everyone in the new season.
