SMPT Players Championship Announced

Following the huge success of our one-off Champion of Champions event in Manchester earlier this year, we’re excited to confirm the launch of a brand new bi-annual tournament: the Players Championship.

This prestigious event will be staged every two years and will follow a similar format to the CofC. A total of 32 players will qualify:

• The two finalists from each of our next twelve singles ranking events (starting with the 2025 UK Open).
• The remaining places will be filled from the World Rankings, once the twelfth event has concluded.
  If a player qualifies more than once, their additional spot will pass to the next highest ranked player, ensuring that consistent performance is rewarded.

What to expect

We’re delighted to confirm that Rich TV Streaming will once again provide full coverage of the inaugural Players Championship. Fans can look forward to live action from the dedicated Show Mat, complete with expert commentary, player interviews, in-depth graphics, and top quality production.
