Belgium will enter this year’s competition as the fifth seeds. 2017 saw yet another semi-final berth with an agonising one shot defeat to the eventual Champions, Ireland. The team remains the same as last year with the exception of Sibe Laureys who is unable to participate. Suzanne Steele will make her World Cup debut.
Belgium will have a chance to avenge that defeat by Ireland as they face them in Group B. Team Captain Jon Payne will be the man to beat following his great victory at the World Bowls Council Championship singles back in March. Can he inspire the team and finally make the final at the fourth attempt?
