SMPT Launches Beta Version of New and Improved Stats Website

Short Mat Players Tour (SMPT) is excited to announce the beta release of our brand-new stats website, now available at https://stats-beta.shortmatplayerstour.com. This updated platform brings a host of new features, improved functionality, and a more streamlined user experience for players and fans around the world.
After months of development and feedback, this version represents a significant upgrade over our previous site, providing faster access to player statistics, enhanced tournament data, and a more intuitive design. Below is a summary of the key improvements:

- Improved performance across the site for faster loading and smoother navigation.
- Enhanced search functionality now allows users to search for both players and tournaments.
đ Homepage Updates
- Rankings are now paginated for better usability on all devices.
- Most Games replaced by Most Titles, and Win % now only includes Group & Cup games for players with over 25 games (Competitive Win %).
đ World Rankings Enhancements
- New â+â dropdown icon reveals each playerâs ranking point breakdown for clearer insight.
- âDropped pointsâ removedâinstead, a new Provisional Rankings system helps players understand their ranking as points roll over after tournaments.
đ Order of Merit
- Now includes full access to previous seasons, providing historical context and tracking player progression.
đ World Cup Section
- Improved visuals for Top 4 teams and players.
- Rest of the World Team now displays accurate ranks.
- New Team Profile pagesâmirroring player profilesâprovide team-specific statistics and achievements.
đŻ Tournaments Overhaul
- All past and upcoming tournaments now appear on a new Tournaments List page.
- Players registered for upcoming tournaments now visible before the draw.
- Group schedules now include mat number, session time, and group standings.
- Full knockout brackets now available for all competitions.
- Improved player listings and better sorting options across all tournaments.
- Records screen features full tournament history, including:
- Past winners
- Biggest wins
- Tournament-specific player stats

- Country filter added for easier browsing by nationality.
- Sortable by Name, Titles, Rank, and Win %.

- Tournament record section now highlights each playerâs best performance at every event.
- Achievements screen added to showcase:

In the coming months, we will continue to focus on further improving the performance and responsiveness of the site.
Longer term, we are also planning to expand the database to include results from our Pairs and Fours competitions, giving fans and players even deeper insights into every format of the SMPT.
