We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mitchell Young to the directorship of the Short Mat Players Tour.
Whilst only a couple of events have been possible this season, we are delighted to announce dates for a full 2022/23 season. A welcome return to our World ranking singles events will of course be the main focus but we’ll have our usual team events mixed in too.
Due to time constraints, the decision has been taken to unfortunately cancel our planned event, the English Masters that was due to take place next month in Chelmsford, England.
It is with great sadness that we announce today that the York Open Pairs scheduled to be held at the York & District Indoor Bowls Club in January has been cancelled. This decision was not taken lightly and many factors were taken into consideration before the cancellation was confirmed.

With our second event of the season just around the corner, we are delighted to confirm details of our third event which will take place over the weekend of the 8th & 9th of January 2022.
Following further reviews of current Covid19 restrictions and government protocols, alongside assessment of our August event, it has been decided that we shall run a similar pairs competition to replace our usual World Pairs & Fours Masters.
