Friday 21st August 2015 saw the start of the new SMPT season as Bromsgrove IBC played host to the inaugural Bond Bowls World Cup. Eight countries from the Henselite Order of Merit, plus a Rest of the World team, were divided into three groups of three. Each team was represented by its top four players, with each of them playing singles.

Gary McNabb has won the 2015 UK Open after beating Paul Pomeroy 12-11 in the final.

The draw for the 2015 Henselite UK Open will be streamed from our website on Thursday 6 August. With a record 16 nations represented, our season opener will surpass the 2014 UK Open which contained players from 14 countries.

We recently announced that next season's highest ranked 'Under 18' will be crowned the first ever SMPT Young Player of the Year. We are now pleased to confirm that the Young Player of the Year will win the Ryan O'Neill Trophy.

Entries for next season’s Swedish Masters are now open! This tournament will be held in Strömstad on the weekend of 9th-10th January.

In another first for the Short Mat Players Tour, the 2015 Henselite UK Open will include our first entrant from New Zealand.
